It can happen to anybody.Hell I have over 10,000 on this PC that are not backed up.Just waiting to be or Albums being worked on.
Luckily I have close to 4000 Albums saved on CDRs already.

no they are still there. but there is no way im listening to every single song.. and besides i dont know what they are called. but would a system restore put it back to how it was say.. 2hrs ago?.. then it would be ok.

System Restore is only available in Windows XP and Windows ME.
Even if Windows 2000 had System Restore, it wouldn't help you because it does not restore any of your personal data files.

What a shame.
How about using a different program to re-re-tag them? Maybe the required info. is still attached to the file so that Tag and Rname or something else can save you?
Mayvbe worth a try.
