not knowing what kind of hard drive you have, you could just use a tool kit like the one Western Digital offers that can write zeros to the hard drive overwriting everything that was on there perminantly and also have other tools to test the hard drive and repair errors. This specific package is the DLG Diagnostic tools that can be downloaded under the diagnostics section from the link below.

torrent files show that they are taking up the amount it would when the file is finished. i.e if ur dl a 700mb dvd rip, even if u dl only 1mb it still shows up as 700. Perhaps windows picks up on that in some instances, but in others it thinks the files are actually full.
    signature removed, check the boardrules.

Good catch mogadishu! Bet that's it. People runaround here though & reformat at the drop of a hat.

Well I know that wasn't the problem because I deleted the files that I downloaded off of suprnova before I formated and the problem was still there.

But now its not a porblem because I reformated anyways.

I know it's too late now, but looking at your picture I wish you would have expanded the Folder Name column. One entry says 'wasted space' and there's something else after it that you can't read. That might have provided a valuable clue to your problem. I suspect the drive was not formatted correctly in the first place. Partition Magic probably could have fixed it. Oh well, I guess we'll never know.

what does burst have to do with anything?
bittorrent allocates the file before you start the download, just how it works, nothing to do with burst
