OK as you can see down you can see the words PROCESSER PENDING
thats because i have no idea of waht processer to buy! It's taking me 6 months to figure out the answer.

Now I'm on a budjet with these in mind ($1500 with tax)

Heat Sink: Depends if amd is choosen ($40)
    RAM: Samsung/Infineon Chip 512MB PC-3200 (400MHz) DDR $125 (2)
    VC: ATI Original Radeon 9600PRO 128MB DDR 8X AGP ( Retail Box ) $269
    SC: Creative Sound Blaster PCI128 4.1 $30
NIC: Realtek 10/100 PCI Network Card $14
    HDD: Maxtor 80GB 7200rpm 2MB Cache IDE $109
    RW: LG 48X/16X CDRW/DVD-ROM Combo (Beige) $81
FDD: Panasonic 1.44MB Floppy Drive (Beige) $20
    KB: PS/2 Keyboard $15
Mouse: Microsoft IntelliOptical USB Mouse $45
    Spk: Stereo Speakers $9
    Case: IC Basic $25
PS: Standard 300W Power Supply $39
    Display: LG 17" 700S Beige CRT $175
    War: 3 Year Labour & 2 Year Parts Depot Warranty ( 3&2 Depot Warranty ) $25

Intel pentium 4 2.4ghz + asus p4s800 with the stuff up there and no retail heatsink i go 100 dollars over budjet

AMD = ?????? (No idea) Everyone says "ohh ohh amd is cheaper blablablabla etc."
But how come i can't get a good processer with my budjet!?
Even lamsey's guide says "good value" but i jsut don't see it

I was thinking of the athlon xp 2500+barton but it seems kinda low?? i mean i'm not rich i can't upgrade every year but i wanna meet the system requirements of games so i can atleast play them and i wanna meet the minimum system requirements for game for atleast 2 years. i know right now the miniumums are 700mhz-1gig+ processer while begining of the year it was 450mhz-700mhz
the next step is the 2800+ which is $279 wooooooh pricey. So i don't see the value of amd.

so in conclusion pending processer = i still don't know.

    What do you think?

    and NO:

internet shopping, tv shopping, mail order, phone order, anything that has to do with give your credit card number away and results in shipping

i can always downgrade with an asus v9520 videosuite geforcefx 5200 8x agp vivo is that card any good?

Your probably thinking "no keikan not again!!!"
1st off, cut back on the floppy. get a regular one. much cheaper, and get a 9500 pro. its 8 rendering pipes. also, get a 120 gb, and hey hey, we have the same ram!

now, as for cpu, don't even bother with the amd 64. it licks balls compared to the p5 (coming soon). and ur spending 2 much on parts that don't need a really good brand. like ur optical and floppy drives. also, with that much $, u can get water cooling for sure.

    1. y do u need a network card? ur mobo has lan connection
    2. u can get a 500 watt psu with 2 fans for $20 at dealsonic
    3. r u buying this prebuilt? where from?

    ARE you building this yourself?

You need a couple case fans too...especially if you're going for the Athlon...
& yeah...good catch on the NIC, I forgot that most now
have ethernet onboard....and you can drop the sound card completely if you just get a moBo with onboard sound (the AMD one in my post above has it.)

this post is guaranteed 100% parrot-free

My advice for you is to steer away from pricewatch. Stick to zipzoomfly.com and newegg.com.

Yeah as you saw in Tom's benchmarks, the Nforce 2 ONBOARD chip beat even the best of sound cards! Wow, thats amazing. So I would buy the 2500+ (yes it is very nice and cheap&#33 with an asus board with Nforce 2 sound. ATI 9500!!!
