I am in the process of ripping all my CD's in preparation for buying an iPod. Using the EAC / Lame method, the files are tagged and go onto HD with the file name Artist / Album / Track No./ Track.
I want to know how iPod requires the files to look for its input.
Does it look at tag, a particular filename formation or whatever. If it requires a different filename arrangement, is there a method of automatic renaming (not manually doing it by hand)

It dont know about the ipod but i suppose it doesnt matter in which format the filenames are, however if you need to rename then you can use Tag&Rename

As far as I know, the iPod uses tags to get its info. So as long as they're OK, you should be fine.
