Austria always sounds like an excellent place to go. I know absolutely nothing about it, I just think it looks nice in the photties I've seen.

I have been to Germany and Switzerland however and that was nice. I'd like to do the UK but exchange rates aren't exactly favorable.

One other plus, it's the middle of a beautiful summer here, we are going to have a barbecue for Christmas day, do manly things and burn food while getting pissed in the sun.

When I think of ex-pats, I think of the recent exports such as cricket supporters in aus or the mahogany sixty year olds in Magaluf, who are way more patriotic than people who've lived in the UK their whole life.

Austria is almost exactly the same as Switzerland except Austria is slightly more German and Switzerland seems more French.
You probably got the better deal.

We're strong against the Dollar but weak against the Euro; the trick for you to get more bang for your buck would be to change to Euros before you come and then convert to Sterling upon your arrival.
