I stray away from torrents and use SLL newsgroups along with a VPN connection. Works great!

its serious and real, this will be the standard in the future for service providers, time for usenet. you will have your service shut off and have to switch to satellite.

Consider Usenet or Rapidshare-type downloading for the ultimate in safety, or use a proxy/VPN with torrents.
