regardless of platform, what is the best game of all time? this probably has been posted b4 but my friend and I were arguing about it, so let the debating begin!
should say Game of the CenturyOriginally posted by Cygnuz-Y@11 November 2003 - 19:32
HALF-LIFE
B)
Sierra makes shit..none of their games hardly work on mine or any of my friends computers and the graphics are horrible and stuff.
Madden 2004 and GTA Vice city (both for PS2) are the best games ever.
[SIZE=1]AMD 4200 X2 @ 2.65Ghz, ASRock 939-VSTA
1.75GB PC3200, 2 X 160GB Seagate w/ 8MB Buffer
HIS Radeon X800 Pro, Antec Super Lanboy Aluminum
half-life doesnt work on ur computer? WOOOOOOOOOOW
HL works on my 233mhz pc.... 4mb onboard video..... 112 ram.... tsk tsk
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
and
Final Fantasy III (us) VI (jap) PSX
Both my Favs of all time!!!
Gta Vice City: Unparralelled freedom, rampages, sub missions, multiple cars, jumps to discover, and genuine humour.
Eve Online: So, so deep. The most frustrating, brilliant, masterpiece of a massivly multiplayer game that will suck you in and have you within its real time universe.
Halo: Great graphics, great atmosphere.
Max Payne 2: Purely for bullet time and the physics engine. Never has cover and choice of terrain been so important when under fire, watching bullets knock over the boxes and bottles in front of you whilst you frantically spin in slow motion, duel deasert eagles blazing, watching the beautiful mixture of shattered particles, rocking boxes, and rag doll physics blending seamlessly together to make every action scene you've ever dreamed of.
Monkey Island 4: Hysterically funny, and engrossing. Play it overnight with a friend and you wont have laughed as hard in ages.
Spiderman: Unusual choice i know, dodgy camera, some strange graphics, but the engine was perfect, swinging from rooftop to rooftop, crawling on the ceiling above hordes of badguys, fighting huge superhero villans, perfectly captured the essence of spiderman.
UFO: Apocalypse: Memorys of spending hours engrossed in this game with my brother, great stratergy and atmosphere
Master of Orion 2: See above
Just my few i can think of off the top of my head
