regarding the "lifetime" promise:
It's been my experience that "lifetime" --even for paid services -- typically has meant about 1 to 3 years in reality. (NewsgroupDirect's free *lifetime* 1GB/month offer from 2008 didn't even last that long)

But since this 'XS Usenet' deal is completely free, no complaints here, even if I have to re-register every month. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I think he was saying even if it does end up expiring for one reason or another, free is free.

I signed up, even at only 100k/sec the price is right as a little backup in case astraweb ever decides to die on me.
