Thread: Which Anti Virus your used.

  1. #31
    i used avast and comdo.

Avast is pretty good, and for home users it's free. But I'm starting to get annoyed with avast a little bit, it gives too many false flags on websites. It has blocked several websites that I visit with malware warnings, but it won't give me specific info about what the security risk is, and then I googgle search several different website malware scanners and it reports the website as clean.

I am using Microsoft security essentials. The best thing is that it's free but you need a legit OS (Win 7 or XP) for it to update and run properly.

The best anti virus is common sense. After that most of the AVs on offer has pros and Cons. None are perfect.
Nothing runs on my machine until I have tested it in under a virtual OS. So far so good.

I have ClamAV but I don't use it often since I run linux. The thing I use most is my brain and it's common sense.
