Update to the original topic: I am now part of a team bent on creating a computer keyboard out of a single strain of yeast.
Fascinating possibilities with the technology. Will keep everybody posted, especially Macky, since he seems to be interested in scientific reporting of statistics.
Had the option of an all expenses trip to Boston, every weekend (which I negotiated as a cheaper alternative to residence bonuses*), or to work from the comfort of my own lab. Picked the latter. Nothing to necessitate me being so close to the world's most able lawyers, or to subject myself to being surrounded by a bunch of
real logic gate nerds.
P.S. For those interested, in the future, work on your Chinese accent more than your Southern one. I had gross misconceptions about MIT, clearly.
* - Might be interesting to note that I never really got the O.K. for that. I made my mind up before a final decision was achieved. Things move slow in the USA. Much like their elections process.
