I'd appreciate your candid feedback on a web app we built.

Really we built it for ourselves.

    The objective

    - the most rapid way of sharing files/images (drag n drop)
    - no registration required
    - simple, with no bs or clutter

I've used it to share a few files with people.
It is, like you say, a very simple and clean way to share stuff.

What is your policy on take-downs?

Since you've already stealthily placed the shoutout in another thread, yeah I gave a it a try once, worked out wonderfully. Was fast, but it's obviously able to achieve that right now through its low usage. What's the intention with the service?

I've also used dropcanvas and it is as you advertise, simple no bs, and it maximised my connection, a fast efficient connection and a simple way to share. I don't want to sound like an advertising brochure but well done.

thank you for testing it out. I really do appreciate your feedback.

Regarding takedowns.. we're not sure at this stage. We haven't received any notices yet as we're still starting out. We will assess each one individually as they come and figure out our procedures from there once it happens. Our goal is to build a simple, fast way of filesharing, and to stick around for the long run.

Since the feedback was so good, I also decided to check it out, and I agree with the above posters completely.

I have a small suggestion though... what do you think of displaying the ETA and current transfer speed when a file is being uploaded? If you wish to keep the interface clutter-free, you could show that only for big files, or after more than X seconds have passed. So that the guy who's uploading some music tracks will see things as is, but someone posting a movie can know if the upload is still going, and how long it will take to finish.
