tried that can only do it from desktop as i cant get online with laptop as it wont connect to net, plus wont only give you driver you need.

This is one of the reasons I love Windows 7. If you have an Internet connection, there's no drama with drivers. The ones that aren't already included in the disc are automatically downloaded and installed via Windows Update.
