Downloading

Hello all! I don't post here very often, but I have a question regarding an unlimited account and a block account.

I grab a nzb and a bunch of the files are ~80% complete when downloaded with the unlimited account. The par2 files aren't enough to repair. How can I set up my downloader (NewsLeecher) to complete the remaining 20% of the files using the block account to finish off what the unlimited account couldn't?

I think the Newsleecher forums at newsleecher.com would be a better place to ask this question since it is about a particular client. I know that Newsleecher handles multiple servers but it has been a decade since I last used the client.

When it comes to clients, is there a particular one which people tend to lean for? Newsleecher was my very first client ever and just kinda stuck with it since it worked.

Some of this depends on what you use News Groups for. The original use was for posting conversations.

Nowadays people like Music, Utilities, TV shows, movies and porn. These are sometimes called binaries.

NewBin Pro is the client I have used for years. It is great. It does everything for you in terms of using the
pars that makes sure your downloads are complete. It has throttling of the network path.

Go to the Manager tab.
Add your primary and secondary servers. Select priority 1 or 2 in the server setup window according to what you wish.

Newsleecher will go to the "priority 2" server when the "priority 1" server comes short.
