I think personally the whole concept of posts should have been gone altogether if anything, all its done is encourage ppl to post smileys and crap in the lounge, sorry but the lounge will not be like it used to be I like visiting the lounge from time to time, but waking up in the morning to find 15 pages of smileys just to get Post counts up is pointless and defeats the purpose of the lounge

call the section ":posting crap to get posts up"

This also makes teh stars rubbish pointless too it will take someone 1 week to get 1000 posts of shit in the lounge now

yeah i agree to that AD is there any new method to the stars like by length of being apart of the board so if you have been around longer you get more stars?

Man I didn't even know post counts were gone. I like it, I like it!!!
Couple things though:

What is the point of the "Member Posts" link? It doesn't show the count just the posts. Furthermore, you can see the post count AND the posts when clicking the profile. "Member Posts" seem like a pointless link probably there to appease those that would be angry about post counts not being shown. Clicking the member name is enough.

Why are posts now counted in the Lounge? Because some folks that post there wanted it counted? The Lounge was perfectly fine; why "fix" it? If you are counting Lounge posts, why not Funny Stuff? It seems someone posting a great joke or funny website should be counted moreso than the pointless topics in the Lounge like "I woke up this morning..." or "The Biggest Spam Post In The World" .
Counting posts in the Lounge was politicking at it's best.

Post counts are there to show how active a member is and possibly show that that member is contributing something. A section that has "The Biggest Spam Post...." should not count.

IMO the Lounge should not be counted nor Funny Stuff. They were just fine. And if you are counting the Lounge, count Funny Stuff.
Count World Events if anything.

By the way I am not shitting on the Lounge by saying "pointless topics". That's what the Lounge is for and I have posted there especially in the "pointless" STFU thread.
