There's more than one type of installer for Windows - The old fashioned .EXE installer (Dominated by InstallShield) and the newly-adopted MSI installer designed to work with WinXP a bit more than EXE. God knows how
You should be fine with Installer
Maybe Im to late just wanted to add my two cents.
Im a happy Opera User and never had any problems with, its always fast and really convenient. Though i cant compare the two as I have never tried firebird.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to there level and beat you with experience!!
Firebird's great, as is Thunderbird, Mozilla's email client..
I'm a very happy Opera user.
w00t w00t for MyIE2 its like a suuped up version of IE. It is tabbed so it exactly what your looking for. It has a shitload of plug ins and is not a resource hog. Also it has lots of nice skins. Firebird i do not like becuase some pages never displayed corrrectly. Opera is fast and good but unless you pay you get that gay ass ad. Also the pop up control for Opera sux. MyIE2 has great pop up and ad control and is very flexible.
MyIE2 all the way.
I haven't tried my myie2 so can't comment on that but I'm a very happy Opera user and I think the pop-up control is excellent, I haven't had a pop-up in 6 months.Originally posted by the-ninja69@10 December 2003 - 06:02

This thread sparked my interrest for Firebird, going to download it now.
oh and, ad? what ad?
i've tried the latest version of Firebird, but went back to IE because i found some of the bugs just irritating - but i am optimistic about the futrure of Firebird and look forward to the next version
i haven't tried Opera because its not freeware
