Well, I'm going to make the commitment to force being a supernode for 2 hours a day, everyday. I hope that will help.

Is there any way to "convert" KMD users? Stealing Sharman's user base would give them a kickup the arse! Are there any official KMD forums or community sites we could recruit from?

That's not why there are hardly anyone using the FT network. I'm using (for testing purposes only) KMD 2.6 w/ klr.exe and I see 2.6 million people online. The reason you see so few FT users nowadays is because people realize that it's an old network with bad files and the RIAA has succeeded in uploading a lot of fake files. The users started fleeing to other networks, or stopped using p2p programs, a couple of months ago when the RIAA started sueing people.

I am not using kazaa lite frequently and I think there are lot of people like me
but I will start using it, even if I don't need to download something
come on people! This is the best file sharing program I have ever had! This also free from spy/adware! This is the fight for our survival! less words, more action

Personally I think us klite users should just stop and lets see how many users are left boycot kazaa network and promote the death of kazaa.i already heard someone is making a kazaa supernode killer on irc LoL

Also i have used rocko&#39;s ad-on tool for kazaa 2.6 and i have successfully removed all of the spyware but still the adverts are in the search window. I could remove these if i could open up kazaa 2.6 with RESOURCE HACKER but it isnt showing the dialogues or the images. has anyone managed to do this yet. If it could be opened in resource hacker it would be very easy to make a compiled installer for 2.6 without the spyware and ads.


P.s: I see very few users with the FILESHARE prefix...what exactly is fireshare.

I cant get kazaa 2.6 to install on my computer. Says it detects unofficial kazaa products on the computer. But even if i uninstall klite and clean the registry I still get the same message. Any ideas. I would then reinstall klite afterwards.

Have the same problem...Any idea, what I can do?

Is there anything we can do to force the FT network to accept a K++ v2.4.3 client (I know there is Diet Kazaa and the lite version they were working on in the development section but if we use them all the extra security K++ gives us will be lost - privacy patch etc )

what does a node do?
