I know they get alerts from time to time when the line is VERY busy. About 500 ppl working there but only 10 stations are "free" internet stations with "free" surfing..(1 of them is mine)...
Anyway, thanks for your honest reply.
    Have a great weekend

You people are killing me. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way Kazaa Lite is operating. Check your installations and Help manuals. LOL.

As far as Kazaa blocking Kazaa Lite users I tend to doubt it, let me tell you a little story.

Once upon a time I was a site moderator for the old GeoCities. We were given weekly instructions on which new guidelines and rules to follow and based upon those guidelines we had to fill out flowcharts for about 600 sites per moderator. We were told to mark sites for closing which contained pornography, pornographic links, copyright infringements, or sites which were being used solely for file storage. We worked like dogs without compensation and perhaps only 1 site in every 10,000 was closed (if that) - usually based on porn. Most of us walked away from GeoCities in disgust. Why didn't the GeoCities management ever close the hundreds of sites per week that the site moderators reported?

The answer is very simple and the same situation applies here. Advertising revenue, based upon the total number of sites! In the case of Kazaa, the same situation applies. They cannot and will not block K-Lite users! They will tell the public that they are going to but they won't because they need the sheer volume of people entering their site for the advertising revenue. They have done their job now, they stopped the future versions of K-Lite from being created and posted on the internet, but you can be sure that they will not stop it's use for those who are already using it.

Kazaa numbers have already declined from 4 million per day to 3.2 million people a day. This drop had absolutely nothing to do with K-Lite users! The drop came about in late July - August when the RIAA announced that it was going to sue file sharing users. There has been absolutely no drop in the users due to the closing down of the Kazaa Lite sites.

Kazaa cannot afford to have their user numbers brought down to 2 million. It would mean that their advertising rates for pop-ups would be cut in half (if not more). Just like the old GeoCities, they are making a good show of it in a public sense, but they can ill afford to lose half of their customer base. The complainants have been satisfied now and Kazaa will go no further in alienating it's user base.

However, they might filter out the trading of all versions of K-Lite in the future, so stock up on old versions now, while you still can. LOL. Anywhere from 1.7.1 to 2.4.3 will be a good idea because I can definitely see them disallowing K-Lite to be traded on their servers.

Be of good cheer! Sharing continues! K-Lite continues! Happy sharing!
