it may be that your system is running to many programs
this can cause burner program to stall
JUST CLOSE DOWN SOME OF THE PROGRAMS
(IT IS THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT DRIVES US ALL A LITTLE MAD
ALSO TRY TO THINK WHAT WERE THE CONDITIONS LIKE WHEN YOUR
BURNER DID WORK.
it is the small things that usually drive us mad
nope, nothing runnning, the only thing that was running was (if you can call it "running"), irc (not d/linga nything just idle) and nvidia settings in the task barOriginally posted by kazaa2002@18 December 2003 - 02:53

my old sony vaio had issues with some cdr brands (tdk, maxell, etc...)
it worked with fujifilm
maybe its a conspiracy to make more money...
Additional ideas: it may be disk quality, nero needs
80%+resource with cheaper disks.
also you might want to check the alert on that pci slot
something may not be connected or seated on your board
---try nero express, it does not require a lot, select data disk
drag file from location into nero express and follow instructions.
what I mean't by running was for example, a anti-virus or a housekeeping
timed program that saps your resource in the backround.

I guess it's be too much trouble to suggest that he check the Nero logs
And that simple communications device with the yellow question mark has nothing to do with CD Roms. It's a 56k fax modem waiting for drivers. (probably )
Check your settings before you burn again. Slow down the burn rate and make sure the right burn method is checked.
Turn off your media players, especially windows media player, while you encode or burn. You normally can't share the wma codecs and drivers between two apps at the same time.
