yea, well if it lag on cs then guess ill stay away from that card

i just read some interview w/ somebody from ati and he says that the 9600se will run hl2 and doom fine

basically my list is down to this....they are all 128mb

    fx5200
fx5600 xt (strip down version on 5600)
    fx5600
    radeon 9200
    radeon 9600se
    radeon 9600
    radeon 9600 pro

so tempting to put a 9600xt on the list as its only about 25-30 more......alksdjfoiefjalskdjfl;kadsjfl;kasdfjeoaijflk god damn it, y cant i be a millionaire....this would be so much easier

you know what i just decided....im gonna get 700 dollars from my mom in 2 month...so fuck the money issue....as long as it stays under 200.

so is the performance between 9600pro and 9600xt noticable or is it minimum

oh btw, is all 9600se 64bit memory bus?

Just get a 9600Pro or such, the difference between the Pro and XT is noticable, IF YOUR LOOKING AT A GRAPH OF THE FPS IN UNREAL TOURNAMENT.

You will be happy with either choice. I know an all in wonder 9600 pro is like 220 at newegg, so use www.pricewatch.com and look around.

Anything 9500Pro and up will run just fine for awhile to come.

i dont need an aiw, i alrady have a tv wonder card and i dont need vivo although i think my tv wonder card has it...so between the 9600xt and 9600 pro, u wouldnt notice the difference in ACTUAL gameplay?

do a Google search for '9600xt review', i think most benchmarks will compare 9600XT with 9600Pro

Rule1; If you are not a hardcore gamer who has limited funds, yet likes to play his games at a suitable level , there are only two cards really for it.
    They are the Geforce Fx5600
and the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro/xt

Unless youve got bucket loads to spend on ultras, 9800 etc. then these games will cater for all future relases Dx9 games, for example Doom 3 and Half Life 2.

To be honest I think that sales of these cards will be insanely high, as they afre 100% fit for a medium 'paced' gamer which is more than the divisions of low and hardcore gamers

Sorry for the late reply, been away at grandparents.
Would of picked the Radeon 9600 as its superior to nvidias card i nearly everyway if you compare them.(looked at statistics).
Radeon nowadays releases upto date drivers etc. that actully work, and so does nvidia.
So, one can see that I would prefer the Radeon 9600. I can not say from first hand expeirence about the 5600 as Ive never owned one. I base my opinons from reviews, and since I bought the 9600xt recently it was dam worth it.
In one of your later posts you said you bought it, good for you, its worth it.
