You probably already know that I have been studying the LG 4040B. I can get it now even before xmas for $170.00 Canadian. So about like $5.00 of your US dollars, right?

I also saw an advertisment for $119.00 CDN (after mail-in rebate) for 26 Dec. Boxing day only at Future Shop. It said limit of 12 units per store. It's very unlikely that I will even try to beat the mob on boxing day morning.

Even more interesting was the fact that I saw some new model LG 4081B 8X DVD+/-RW.

Actually I think that we can get those in Cracker Jacks boxes down here.
There are so many good looking units out now that price will probably be the determining factor.
And it must be black, of course.

Why do they even make beige drives anymore?
