Then ill tell ya the virus scanner that i found that managed to uncover all 593 viruses
Ill give you my resuslts with sharepros scanner
Norton Corp, newest with all updates, immediately quarantined 292 files out of a total 594 files. The rest, 302, are not a threat.
If your AV starts deleting or quarantining all your executables because they have some potential, then it's going a bit too far. If it misses a known virus when I execute it, then I'll worry. That hasn't happened yet and it's not likely to.
Paranoia doesn't make up for common sense and education. Most of these files are simple batch commands that could never do anything unless you allowed them to. Any program you download has that same potential. As long as your AV pops up a warning asking what the fuck you're doing when you try to run or install one of these, then there's no risk.
Hell, I could type some malicious code out in notepad and rename it, Should My AV then delete it? It beter not. Same thing here. No worries.
