    DVD-RAM - an alternative to dvd+/-rw

    CD-DA - a normal audio cd

    Video - CD that is a VCD

    CD-Extra - contains a audio session in CD-DA format for cd players and a ISO part for "extras" for the PC (music videos etc.)

    not sure about the rest

    k thnx but the think is this drive is only £20 so its alot cheaper.

    so is it worth it?

    which one is 20? are we still talking about dvd writer here? the samsung one you showed is a cd burner not a dvd burner

    i think photocd is a cd that you burn a bunch of jpegs onto and you can vew them on your tv through the dvd player, and cd-text is like a normal audio cd except it has real names for the tracks instead of treack 1 and track 2 it will have the artisit and song name.

    the cd writer one that is £20 says under supported media dvd-r so doesnt that mean it can burn dvd-r?
