Hey Musleman:
Can KL be configured to use a range of ports?
If so...use ports 137-139 ( Windows File Sharing) NETBOIS ports
Or even change the name to something Windows is associated with.
Sincerly...UcanRock2

well if your admin is blocking klite
then try this:
Go where you installed KL and change the name of "KazaaLite.kpp" to something else. Click Start, Run and write regedit. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\K++ and change "ApplicationName" to same as "KazaaLite.kpp"s new name. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\K++ and do the same.
if that does not work then use overnet, for more info look here
Hi,
I tried registry tweak, but didnt work.
And downloaded and installed Overnet. It looked attractive, but didnt work also. I m not sure wht setting shud b used for 'Network' and 'Proxy'. Our server has very few ports open, and port 80 is one of them. Putting these proxy setting it shows the msg : 'Port already in use'.
Plz help.....

just leave the proxy config alone, and for network for upload set a speed of 10 and the download put what ever your download is , leave the ports alone as they are

Hi,
I tired it but didnt work. I m not able to understand whts going on as theres no system log.
I tried Filetopia, its a better client but still has a small network. U wont find more than 4500 users online at the same time.
Anyway, Kazaa is still the best.. but its not runnign

Hi,
Sorry for reposting...
But I just wanna know, if theres any other P2P client, which I can run through HTTP proxy (port 80). As I said in earlier post, Filetopia is one good option but has very small network (~4000 users).
Plz let me know, if theres any...
