on the NUFC website a few months back they watched all of Van Nistelrroys goals and 63% of them were offside or wrong decisons by the REF this is my point.

Shearer scored a lot of his goals shortly after elbowing people in the face, doesn't make him a bad person though. [/b][/quote]
Shearer can be a dirty player no doubts about that, after he lost some of his pace he had to start playing like that. He's still a great goalscorer though and I (as an unbiased NUFC fan) am willing to turn a blind eye...
edit: And, anyhow, in the days before they turned football into a non-contact sport you could pretty much get away with anything...shoulder-barges, elbowing, kicking the keeper...

any player is the same given the chance especially the Man Utd team
ruud van nis.... hangs onto players when they try to run with the ball, purposely leaves his foot in after tackles, goes in 2 footed all the time.
there isnt 1 player who hasnt commited a bookable offence throughtout their career.

He wasn't booked. You are spot on.Originally posted by Skillian@3 February 2004 - 21:10
Lineker?
The chap said commited a bookable offence, though. Maybe he just wasn't caught.
Shearer is a great striker, however he is at least as dirty as Nistelroy.
