There are 10 types of people in the world those who understand binary and those who dont
ipcop and smothwall would probably be better suited and more configurable
still micro distros like this are great for keeping old hardware useful.
See... everything is possible with *nix.
its just a shame i dont have any old hardware to test it onstill micro distros like this are great for keeping old hardware useful.

Thanks Obi kind of looking around on this forum perfect for me fits on a floppy? Got to love it who said floppy drives were dead
Here's an idea. Take a small firewall that fits on a floppy like the one ObiWan posted and run it in vmware or virtual pc and give it like 32 megs of ram or 16 . Think it would be the same as running a software based firewall like ummm sygate or whatver software firewalls people use now days?
Once you get your iptables down pack I bet it would work just fine. It would be just like a minature pc on your network and serve only as a firewall or to share a connection. Probably not something i would try.................Im in love with my router, but I bet it would work.
Btw, no gui. All text based is all you would need for that purpose.
