    you missed out c/c++ which is proabably the most widely used language

    still my favourite would have to be c++ mainly because im learning it right now.

    edit : cgi is not a language

    This poll isn&#39;t really fair - can you write a peice of forum software in HTML? Can you design a website in actionscript? The languages all have their place, but they aren&#39;t equivalent.

    Anyway, I like php but I dont think asp gets the recognition it deserves. Its a step down from php but is actually pretty good for developing active server pages.
