This thread just inspired me to check my settings... mine is on 60Hertz but according to websites, Sharp LL-T17A4-B is capable of achieving 85 Hertz. When I changed my settings to 75 (highest amount that I can move it to) it made the desktop icons really blurry.
Why is this?

Unfortunately it didn't seem to help with my problem using the advice given. Although I am using my monitor with a refresh rate of 60 Hertz, it hasn't yet caused any concern for myself, and my games seem to run fine.
I'll obviously look into any further suggestions people may provide.
