What Is Normal Download Speed With T1

my max downstream is supposed to be 768Kb/s down.

So what then should my top speed be on kazaa lite? 96Kbytes?

Yea. 768 kbits divided by 8 = 96 KiloBytes a second.

well at my school t1 is normally about the speed of my dsl at home, but the upload is amazing.

At your school there are probably a whole lot of users on the network, slowing things down a bit...

I have Cox.net the second fastest ISP according to toast.net and it's average speed is 3441 K. My download speed according to toast.net is 1493 Kb and my upload speed is 530 Kbps. Why is my speed so slow for cox?
