ok i installed mandrake version 10.  I had no problems and got it all up and running .

I just need to find out how use the browser and to config my internet settings on it.  Anyone know of a manual type thing for mandrake?
The Mandrake Control Center can get your internet up and running.

As for the browser, there should be more than one installed. Mozilla is ususally the default. You should see an icon for it.

Firefox will work as well, just download it, extract the files to a directory and click the binary executable file which should be "firefox."

programs that are made to run on ms do not work on linux, that is why many people keep a parition for windows to play certain games and such. For the msn part, you can try looking HERE for a list of linux equivalent to many windows progs

If you have Mandrake then most of the programs you need are already at your disposal.

Your asking questions that can be answered if you just take a look around dude.

Go to your menu just like you would in a windows start menu...................Don't you see all thoose programs?
