A Distrubuted Denial of Service Attack (DDOS) is when mallicous code existing on a number of machines (often passed to that machine as a virus or trojan) is instructed to send misformed packets to an IP or set of IPs. It was explained to me a while ago as a large number of computers requesting information from the server (at the simplest level, hundreds/thousands of people simultaneously pressing refresh)
On a given day or given circumstance, you think you have a limit.
And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think "Ok, this is the limit".
As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further.
With your mind power, your determination, your instinct and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

lol..............hundreds/thousands of people, yeah right.
One syn flooder brought down yahoo and 2 other major sites in one day.
I pity you if you have so little of a life to go DDoS FST. It's also fucking lame as it is generally very easy to start a DoS attack, but difficult to stop it.
We all remember the "ping -t -l 65510" days, don't we?
i don't wanna make one, just wanna know what causes itOriginally posted by haxor41789@27 March 2004 - 20:46

To make the ddos attack more simpler think about this
1. At regular times one worm can go into the hole one at a time
2. When a ddos attack is happeneing there are 500 worms trying to get into that same hole at the same time, then the hole closes up and now no worms can't get in
good explaination huh?
Ohh noo!!! I make dribbles!!!
