lol, hes done a fresh install like 10 times before now, and has also tried upgrading from windows 2000 which also had some problems with drivers.

and his problem isnt that he doesnt have icons its that there is no startmenu\taskbar etc. loading either which is why i though it had something to do with explorer.exe. but i dunno.

windows 2000 did work and i have no mouse waz up?

maybe downgrade to Windows 95

until your ready to upgrade

as i stated before-get a Clean "Verified" vesion of XP
