As a guideline we would expect to see a residential account like yours generating less traffic per month than our entry-level business package. Please see section 8 of our Acceptable Use Policy. (https://secure.shaw.ca/policy/Use-Policy.asp). On average we expect to see a residential account use below 30 gigs of traffic combined (upstream + downstream) in a 30 day period.

A recent report shows that, over a period of 30 days, your connection has passed just under 44 GB of information upstream (information leaving your computer) and just under 28 GB downstream (information coming into the computer). Such activities that generate large amounts of traffic can negatively impact the speed of your connection. Your connection has generated a combined 72 GB over a period of 30 days. This level of traffic cannot be accommodated on our residential service. It is important that this traffic level be brought down as soon as possible.

Its kind of annoying when you pay good money to your isp to provide a service and they put limitations on its use, it should be down to them to make sure thier service has no limits and not the customer to limit thier use.

Again I wish to thank you all for helping! To Samurai, I have just d/l DU Meter and I love it, it is tucked away in a corner of my desk top and I can watch it all the time. Oh yes. I just watched the movie "The Last Samurai" Are you really dead?
It is funny though, I was on a chat line with a buddy and it read 10 kbs, I chatted with a Women and it jumped up to 100 kbs, does this mean anything?
I would like to keep it!

Behind closed doors in UK the ISPs are all thinking cap limit then screw more money Bandwith costs so we will at some pint have less or pay more BT have a ! gig per month up and down as do others some have no downloads full stop

this is the reason i prefer netlimiter mate ,

i dont care about chat and stuff like that its of no intrest, it dont use any upload or download that matters

netlimiter allows you to control the apps that need it without bothering about the ones that dont

i have tried both and i prefer netlimiter, and you used a crack/serial for that other app , and there is one for netlimiter as well
