Ok, here's what i know about the situation atm:

SpamScript is more of a nuisance than help. I agree it should be removed or fixed.
It has not caused me personally any trouble, but i can understand its a
pain for some ppl.

Apparently 7th. ("crept away like a thief into the night",a.k.a.
Eastern Vacation in the USA.) is on Vacation,
he has been contacted about this situation and im pretty sure
he'll be helping us to adjust the scripts as soon as he comes back to teh scene
from the vacation.
I dont know when he comes back, but i suppose after eastern sometime,
i dont know the length of his vacation.
I dont know anything about Scripts so im not talking about how to disable it.

Also, as I know of: BOT and Rookie has been looking on the situation but
as the setup on the board is heavily customised by 7th. , its best that we get
good instructions from 7th. how to go about the Script.
There's is a slight chance of fukup if fiddling with the board-software without
knowing Exactly how things work.
Bear in mind Rookie is still new to this board-software but
atleast im willing to give him all the time he needs to learn it.
I wont be pushing him to try to fix this if he's not confortable with the
software.

Why did we get the SpamScript at all you may ask,
answer is clear, there was a script runnin loose and it had to be dealt with.
Why there was a script runnin loose im not 100% sure of, you have to ask
that of somebody else.

I also have a gut-feeling, a superstitious hunch,
that if the SpamScript wil be disabled,
we will see Scripts on the board, here's some possible reasons.

- Show off ! , im a script kiddie, I know how to do it and I must show everybody that I RULE. (I get teh respect i really need)
- I will now test if the SpamScript is off (I will also remember to ask my mates to do the same, at the same time)
- I dont like this place anymore and therefore it is best for the community that
I'll do any havoc on the board to make ppl leave this place (and possibly, join my board if i have one)
- It would be really nice to piss on the Mods by runnin scripts, that would make them
work their asses off, (those useless-incompetent-idiots-who-didnt-deserve-to-be-a-mod-in-the-first-place)
and/or because it is Fun to piss ppl off in the net.
- I have a "slightly different" sence of humor which will make it A Greatest Joke
to run some scripts. Im so cool, you just dont get my humor.
- I will now test how far i can pull the string before it snaps and i get banned,
also know as "Im banned from FST therefore im Cool"
- I simply want to get banned, Yessiir, nothing like a Ban on a day like this...
(To have a Ban tattooed on me ass would be great, not so many wants to tattoo it,
whats wrong with ppl these days...)

(Teh list could go on about but you see my pointers, im not pointing fingers on anyone particular because,
im a Mod, Im not a member anymore and I should be very carefull what i say , lol)


But more seriously:
All we need to do is wait now, as said elsewhere in the thread,
I am sure the Script will be dealt with sooner or later.

Now, lets get on with bashing the mods/admins/members... its such a fun thing to do. I sure feel many times "Cooler" after posting that list. /sarcasm off

But it's hardly the end of the world if someone tries using a script, just put 'em on moderation and that'll stop them. Or close the thread they're spamming into.

It would soon be picked up on by members who could use the ever useful report button to report it. But to be honest I can't see a spate of spam script "attacks" on the board anyhow...

I can. I won't say how but there are ways to wreak havoc on this board very anonymously. As one account is closed, another is opened and the cycle continues.

With so called internet terrorists out there who clearly have disdain for the board, it would be fairly easy if they initially put the effort in.
