On a more directly relative note, of course size is important-it has tremendous impact on the quantity and type of gear one needs to have at hand (or bedside) when one undertakes to pleasure certain individuals.
Lighting, safety gear, ropes and attendent tackle, food...one can be gone for hours-some such expeditions are reminiscent of a good day's spelunking...
