Ive seen 300+ once.
my dad kept wondering why his laptop was so slow and why ads would pop up out of nowhere. he said he hit yes to one of thoes pop up that asks you if its okay to install something (ive seen a lot of gain supported ones). I think he must of said yes to more then one. i had to run adaware and spybot over and over. i then had to boot into dos to delete stuff. then i had to run adaware again.
recently, a week after getting his new laptop he hit yes again. i almost threw it against the wall. i have used adaware, spybot, nod32 and housecall and i still cannot remove whatever sets the homepage back to mfs search. and i also found 3 viruses when i ran nod32. all in one week. wtf? is he really my dad?

My cousin had 320 items showing up in Spybot (with definitions which were about a month out of date) and after that cleaning, he had another 45 or so in Ad-aware. Needless to say, the puter was running a bit faster after they were cleaned out
On a given day or given circumstance, you think you have a limit.
And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think "Ok, this is the limit".
As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further.
With your mind power, your determination, your instinct and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

That's nothing. I had to fix a computer with 11 trojans with over 15,000+ traces of spyware. No joke. Worst I've ever seen. Every spyware scanner I used kept stoppiing until I cleaned a little of it out first with X-Cleaner. It lowered it significantly, but it was still in the 9,000's. I swear, people gotta stop going to those porn sites, man.

Well, I use SpySweeper myself, but that's in conjunction with HOSTS file protection and restricting certain domains in my internet settings (info in my sig ).
But, I wasn't joking. There were over 15,000 traces. I can't remember how much software it was categorized into, but it was a lot. It was lucky it was an XP machine because otherwise I would've just formatted the hard drive.
