    Ati,
    This blower is windowdressing only...

    3.5cfm @ 41dBa?
    I mean really....

Since my new card can monitor it's temps I was finally able to compare the efficiency of the silent Zalman heatpipecooler and other methods.

The fanless Zalman heatpipe cooler made things worse.
The Zalman chipset HS with no fan was better.
The Zalman HS with an 80mm fan blowing right at it is the best.

The stock ATI setup wasn't too bad, but the fan was noisy I thought.
Something about the harmonics of little, high RPM fans drives me nuts.

SAME! that highish pitched squeeling they let off is annoying! if not for the 60mm cpu fan, my compter would be very quiet (ive tested this).

*goes to talk dad into letting me buy an 80mm-to-60mm fan adaptor*

A 60 - 80 mm fan adaptor is like $4 at CompUSA so it should be a short converstaion.

leave the heatsink m8 for the noise factor man.....Manu's only began to use a fan for the look..a heatsink will do the job fine ,
