Windows Media Player 9 Series

Does anyone know why whenever i try to adjust all the options (ie, brightness, contast, etc..) in the video setting, it will return to default? It used to work fine before i install Matroska Shell Extension.
I need to adjust my brightness setting whenever i watch a anime but now i cant.
Now it is too dark for me to watch the anime.
Does anyone have a solution?

Hm...for your info.
WMP9 is using the following codec now.

Video Codec: ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder
Audio Codec: MatrixMixer

So my guess is the codec is the problem.

My question now is does anyone know how to switch codec around?
