    the amd 3000 has 512Kb of L2 cache...unless its the notebook version...?

    MadCat knows nothing much more about 64 bit than most of you

    The most viable route for proper 64 bit right now is Linux, SuSe is supposed to be good, I heard Mandrake 64 (I think) is crap though.
    Since you can recompile things in 64 bit for Linux it makes sense to use it.
