Yes, starting out with a Gibson wouldnt be the wisest idea. For one, they are really expensive, two, you dont know if youre gonna stick with playing the guitar. If you're in to playing guitar for the long run, buy an acoustic. The action is higher, and its harder to play, but once you get that down, playing an electric will be just gravy.
