Is My Modem Broken ?

yea i wud go fight with the store owner u got it from

But the modem worked perfectly.I bought the modem because my previous modem had nthe same problem as the new.It just stopped working, and I don't know why.

Therefore I think maybe something is wrong with my PC, because this modem just stopped working like thje previous, for no reason.

If I can't fix this I will return the modem and get a new one and see what will happen'

Assuming you are on BT, do you have the 1571 answerphone service?

If you've got an answerphone message waiting the dialtone changes, it can screw up
some modems.

Edit: just remembered, you usually get "No dial tone" if that's the case, but it is still worth looking in to.

No.There's no answering machine.

This is so annoying.And I'm mad because I don't know why the modem doesen't want to connect.
If I knew what's the problem, at least
