In your first post, you did not mention at all what the folder was...for all we know it could have been the windows folder or something (unlikely though lol). I hate how people never give all the info for which they are asking a question about...for example:

What is everyone's background? Mine is old.

What the hell is this supposed to mean?

My mistake for not saying it was not a system folder Rossco... but I did clearly say that it was for poems, thoughts and random things I found interesting like websites and whatnot. If it wasnt in the orig post... then I digress, which is possible... because I have been known to be wrong and can plainly admit it. Some others, will not. But, anyways, it is in the thread, amidst all the confusion. One must read all before making judgments.

Thanks for yours and tormentors help again.

PM you ?? For what reason??? Because you are insecure and have no better outlet than to attack someone here. If you need attention... go ask your mother. @ Rossco... I retract the "all" and meant "mostly all" my bad.

You were sincerely, trying to help and doing it with proper net protocol.

@ Tormentor ... Nero did show it... and it is thumbs.db as I said SpiderDude said from the getgo. I surely dont know why "showing all files and folders" wouldn't reveal it using Windows, and only in Nero. Mind Boggling.

I suppose now I can safely delete it.

    Thanks for the info Tormentor

Asshole you leave my MUDDER out of this . I stack my reputation on what I think are my contributions to this board , while they are not always right , they are done in good faith . Its done in the true fashion of sharing , while your few whinning posts make me laff. [sic] You have done nothing to alter my good intentions . While my spelling could use some help , I think it's over looked on this board . And I ask you to prove other wise , NUMB NUTS.

Well, I finally ran into one that shows 18.0kb although I cannot see any files inside it. I thought it may have been a hidden file, so I went to folder options and checked "show hidden files and folders", but it still showed nothing.

SpiderDude said it was thumb.db, although I dont know how it can be something that I cant see if I have already tried what I said above.
did you uncheck the box in the same menu - "Hide protected operating files (Recommended)" ?

after that you should see the .db, .ini files etc

Wow, you guys get really emotional about little stuff. Whew, chill out musicmaster, it'll be alright.

Anyways, try Pol's solution. That will let you view the thumbs.db file, and other files of the sort. If the folder is clear when you open it, yet it still shows that something's inside, this is probably the problem. If not, there could always be some sort of glitch with Windows. Anyway you go about it, the folder is safe to delete and stuff, there are just "extra-hidden" system files in there. Good luck.

    @ Pol

Actually I did that as well, although afterwards... because I noticed that option in there too. Hence, it did nothing, didn't show the thumbs.db file. The only way I was able to view it was like tormentor said, in Nero. Very interesting.

    Thanks for the input.

@ Hitchhiker see above. Dont know why it only shows in Nero, but who cares... as long as I got it figured out. I could have listened to Spidey in the first place, but that was too easy... and he didn't give me the Nero option to make sure that's what it was... but I can talk with him another time about it. He knows some things here and there.

Also, you can rest assured that I am "chilled". I stated my case and resolved my issue.

My suggestion stands as thus: if anyone has a suggestion about something on the board, read the person's post fully and thoroughly before making a suggestion. Also, if you see something that they might have forgotten to list in their question... ask them (politely helps as well). One additional thing is that it is always best not to assume it is a problem with the software they are using, but that it might be something that they have or have not done to acheive the proper solution. Granted, it may be the software, but just because you do not prefer a type of software, does not mean that the one they use is of no value.

For example, IE works fine for me... and has for 10 years now. I am not going to use Firefox no matter how many people (5 I think it was) suggested previously that my browser was to blame for two different problems. IE is and was not the problem. So, be wary of the first and second suggestions.... use all suggestions, and if you are suggesting something, I again state "Please Please Please" ask the person posting a question if you are unclear about what they are asking. It really isnt that difficult.

    Thank you.
