The piece of paper from the hair corresponds with the piece of paper in the medicine bottle. You can see what symbol is what number. Then you can put them on the green cross. And you're still missing a symbol
Did you look in the lamp?
sampson, you have to unlock the feet first. The clue is in the diary
mostly harmless
Your missing symbol is (I think) hiding on the lampshade. You can only see it/get it, when you look up at the lightshade from a certain position, I think the one where you're facing the blue door (the one leading back to the crimson room).
From that position, click on the lightbulb, then you should see on the upper-left of the lightshade a small red rectangle. Click on this and you should pick up the final symbol.
