tried restarting the router? restart network connection (disable\enable or restart computer) ?

Yea just did and that didnt solve the problem. I dont know why the latest firmware would "slow" it down rather than improve it?? Are there any issues following this? I know I did use the correct drivers, because I double checked the router version number.

guess it isn't really that important to you since it took u 11days to answer.
anyway, is it possible to download teh old firmware and install that again?

not sure.. I cant afford to damage it by installing old firmware over the new. I want to learn the facts first. No one seems to know much about this I suppose.

ok, I found out that the most stable version is : 1.44.2z for the BEFS41 ver 2 Linksys Router.
That 1.45.11 crap gave everyone problems, includeing the slower load times on connections. 1.44.2z may be old, but it works! I dont think the updateds in 1.45.11 had to really do with any security, since they said it corrected alot of spelling errors and such... heh, I didnt see any.
btw: noticed my internet page speed is faster.. pages dont stay "blank white" for a split second most of the time now. B)
