looking forward to yet another possible target here in new york. Why the f*ck can't you just build a memorial instead of some 10,000 story glass totem pole so absolutely everyone within 50 miles can see it, especially (airline) pilots.
Because real estate in Manhattan is too valuable not to?[/b][/quote]
Good eye, sir.

Perhaps the hoi polloi would be pleased with a "Freedom Tower/Memorial" situated a tad further south; say somewhere in the Jersey swamp?

Aside from the commercial consideration, it would seem others (once again) do not appreciate the sole, defining, and salient fact of the matter: Greed and capitalism uber alles!

This IS the United States of America, after all.

furthermore, who the hell would want to buy office space in this building. Besides working inside of a giant bullseye, all the workers would be reminded every morning of just how many people died on this spot, doing exactly what they are about to do. Talk about motivation.

As clocker said, the land is too valuable to be used as a remembrance park.

It's not patriotic bullshit, it's economic bullshit!

Its made of glass? So you could not only fly a plane into it, but you could have a terrorist's rave party and smash it up with duf duf?
