I found Azureus poor compared to other clients (ABC and G3). Very resource hungry, poor file allocation strategy, and slower downloads. Maybe I didn't have the best settings, but ABC works "out of the box". I'm also running Folding@Home, which may explain why a Java based client doesn't work too well for me.

G3 is a pain for restarting (seeding) completed torrents if you use any of the "Folder" options. They seem like a good idea initially until you find these problems. It is a bit buggy too (especially when resuming paused torrents) but I keep it because of the ability to download selected files.

You can download selected files in ABC 2.7.0 test build

I've used most BT clients. Azureus is up there, but my fav is... bitcomet. Its got everything u need & its not a resouce hog like most other clients, good speeds etc... From my experience:

    1)bitcomet
    2)azureus
    3)abc
    4)g3

Try all of them & see which u prefer. enough said..

Forgive me, I understand mostly eveyrthing but I never understood ports and such. How would I forward my port to make it faster and how would I know which port to use?
