Some info on the battery life...
Got this out of OPM2 (Official Playstation2 Magazine-Belgium):
Games tested on a imported PSP.
    • Game: Ridge Racers
    • Type: Singleplayer
    • Volume: max.
    • Screen Res.: max.
    • Battery Life: 3h30min.

    • Game: Ridge Racers
    • Type: Singleplayer
    • Volume: max (headphones)
    • Screen Res.: max.
    • Battery Life: 5h10min.

    • Game: Ridge Racers
    • Type: Multiplayer (WiFi)
    • Volume: max (headphones)
    • Screen Res.: max.
    • Battery Life: 2h45min.

    • Game: Vampire Chronicle
    • Type: Singleplayer
    • Volume: 50%
    • Screen Res.: max.
    • Battery Life: 5h5min.

    Also,
Samsung is now the producer of the TFT screens (used to be Sharp).
This would guarantee no more dead pixels.
And Samsung will also produce the new MPC's (microchips for the PSP).
These new MPC's will use 2,5 times less the battery power than the old MPC's,which means non-stop gaming for +/- 12hours
99,9% of all PSP that will be released in the U.S and Europe will have this new technology.

    That's freakin' awesome

    hmm...asspie

Could you give a link or something? If it was true it'd already be on all the big sites

    Here's one link:
    cnet news
Can't find a link about the screens though.
But if I look at the following picture,I actually hope it's still Sharp that will manufacture the screens.

How can you get 2.5 times less battery use? I can understand 2.5 times more or a fraction of the use but 250% less than that it was before?

Not Battery use he said Battery power meaning the battery uses 250% less power than before but can still store the same ammount of power meaning it can be in use for 250% more than before.

In classic Busyman style, I say again - How can you have 250% less battery use?

I can understand that playing for so long uses 40% of the battery use than before, or it now has 2.5 times the battery life, but anything above 100% less AFAIK is mathematically impossible (then again, so is i=sqrt(1) but it's still used )

Sorry for being scientifically pedantic, but marketing companies have the nasty little habit of throwing around stats without a meaning (not saying these are, I just like being accurate)
