When its finished click on the first one and it should extract the file from the whole lot
err...it's quite dangerous to assume that the first file is the main file.Originally Posted by DanB
most archivers give those files the same icon, there's no way to distinct the main file from its part files.
take for example rar r01 r02 (all with the same icon), with rar as the main file.
on windows, the files will be arranged starting from r01 r02...rar. therefore, the first file isn't the main file (the rar file is usually the third).
wat i would suggest is to unhide the file extension first before u do any extraction.

Worst thing that happens is WinRAR or whatever porogram you are using gives you an error.
And everytime i've tried it i could just right click any file and go to extract here and it would get the whole file.
