I noticed in last weeks paper that an English University has developed software that will trace 'copies' on the internet. Why they did not use Google I'll never know.

I had a foolproof method when I taught. I just selected half a dozen lines out a a presented program and asked the student how those particular lines affected the programs execution. If they did not know, then it was obvious that they did not write the lines.

When I have to write an essay, I always copy and paste. But of course, I change things around. I remove bigger words that a student my age wouldn't use. If there is a sentence I don't understand, I'll remove it, etc. Never been caught copying off the internet.

for my Film Studies exam i had to do about three-thousand words in three hours

my american history essay took me forever and that was only 700 words.
