That first post was utter fabrication with all of the fine little zingers thrown in. The piece de resistance (to borrow a phrase) was the final revelation that the soldier was a girl.

I didn't understand yesterday, and I don't get today how someone'd try to pass off that letter as being written by a girl. It sounds as male as it can get.

Something about that way the bloke (ie she) writes, the style doesn't sound female at all to me, somehow.
