Wonder if the greedy pricks , will take the user tax off blank media now ? Seeing as how the RIAA, made " Billions " off this sin tax from Canadians.

Seeing as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has stated that 55% of p2p sharers are from the U.S., I would say it is safe that we just keep on sharing.

Well, y'know, making something illegal generally only increases its usage... Shame to hear about the music illegality with our fine northern friends, though. Perhaps you'll just have to proxy?

isn't it illegal already? Unless you already have the original?

But what they gonna do, arrest every tom dick and harry who downloads something? I cant see it making any difference if its illegal or not, people will still do it, and come up with other ways of exploiting any system that they come up with.

    Power to the downloaders !!

No such legislation has been passed yet...it is perfectly legal to download...the CRIA is attempting to persuade the Canadian Government to make it illegal but no time frame has been set a side as of yet...any news you hear about a bill being passed or a set deadline when it will become illegal is totally false at this time

Unless you're actually backing-up music that you already have... , it's already illegal.
